Advent Magic along the Danube

Klosterneuburg Abbey with its baroque imperial courtyard is at the gateway to Vienna and nestled in the Danube countryside. For many years, the Advent market of the abbey parish in the Binderstadl has been a set part of Advent in Klosterneuburg. The net proceeds of the Advent market go to select charities.

The Advent Village on the main square in Tulln, the garden city, is the place to visit from November 16 to Christmas Day. Besides an array of culinary delights, it offers a diverse program for visitors of all ages: Visit by St. Nicholas and the Christ Child, Perchten parade, and much more.

The Advent market in Korneuburg creates a delightful Christmas atmosphere, as the Middle Ages come alive in the city hall and its courtyard.

One weekend in December, the Stockerau city hall and the square in front of it are transformed into a lovely Advent market. Numerous cultural events and lively local customs are part of the diverse lineup of activities.

The atrium of this former monastery becomes a colorful gathering spot for Lower Austrian artisans of all kinds - from tailors and seamstresses to makers of colorful items for children to jewelers, photographers and paper artists. The creative artworks make wonderful Christmas gifts.

Advent in Grafenegg is one of the loveliest and most traditional Christmas markets in Lower Austria. This year it once again promises unforgettable hours full of art, culture and culinary delights in the unique setting of Schloss Grafenegg. Traditional artisan workshops and about 140 exhibitors present their premium handicrafts in the castle and along the circular path in the scenic castle park.
