Großinger Werner

The wine tavern and winery Werner Großinger in Spitz an der Donau is a small, fine family business that harmoniously combines viticulture and wine tavern culture. With around 3.3 hectares of vineyards, predominantly in the steep terraces of the Spitzer Graben, wines with character are produced, characterized by the mineral primary rock soils of the Wachau. The palette ranges from classic Grüne Veltliner and Riesling to Pinot Blanc, Neuburger and aromatic Gelber Muskateller. In addition to viticulture, fruit growing also plays an important role: the original Wachau apricot is grown here under certification and refined into a variety of products such as jams, liqueurs, brandies and nectar.

During the open Heurigen times, which take place quarterly, guests are spoiled with regional delicacies and the excellent wines of the house. The cozy Buschenschank (typical tavern) offers around 80 seats inside as well as additional outdoor seating and invites you to linger in a relaxed atmosphere. The farm-gate sales are also an opportunity to purchase wines and apricot products directly from the producer.
