Donaustation Krems 39

The Krems 39 landing stage is located directly in front of the historic old town of Stein. The shortest walk for passengers to the nearest public road is via the B3 underpass (at Danube station no. 33). Buses can be parked there for a short time for passengers to board and alight, at the public bus stop in consideration of the timetable or at the Steiner Donaulände in 2nd lane. The distance to the large boat station parking lot at the shipping center is approx. 550 m.

The statutory town of Krems an der Donau looks back on over 1,000 years of history - and as a center of education and culture, it also shapes the modern age. The beautiful old town of Krems is part of the Wachau Cultural Landscape UNESCO World Heritage Site: with picturesque alleyways, a cobbled pedestrian zone and architectural landmarks such as the Steiner Tor - the only surviving town gate and landmark of Krems. In addition to a high-quality educational landscape consisting of several important colleges and universities, Krems also offers a wide range of art and culture: The Landesgalerie Niederösterreich is the center of the Krems Art Mile, which stretches from Minoritenplatz in Krems-Stein across Museumsplatz to the historic Dominican Church with its exhibition venues Forum Frohner, Kunsthalle Krems and the Caricature Museum as well as the Klangraum Krems Minoritenkirche and can also be reached in a few minutes on foot from the Donaulände.
