Wine Tour along the Danube

You can look forward to a warm and friendly atmosphere staying with the local winegrower families. For them, hospitality is more than just a catchword. During your stay, you live in a comfortable double room. You have the opportunity to taste the family’s own wines. A well-filled picnic basket is provided as fortification for you on your hikes through the vineyards. The best way to explore the Wachau is by bicycle. Take the Danube Cycle Path downstream from Spitz. For your way back from Krems to Spitz, you experience the Wachau from one of its most scenic vantage points – aboard a Danube ship.

The Baroque Benedictine Abbey of Göttweig is often referred to as “Austria’s Monte Cassino” because of its stunning hilltop location. Impressive highlights await you there, including the monumental imperial staircase, frescoes by Paul Troger, the abbey Church, and the museum in the imperial wing.
