The family cultivates 5 hectares of vineyards with the main varieties Grüne Veltliner, Riesling and Zweigelt. The utmost care in the vineyard, selection of the grapes and careful processing in the cellar are top priorities. From half a hectare of apricot orchards, schnapps and jam are produced mainly for the guests.
And then there is the Holzheu family's top wine tavern! The culinary offerings are of the finest quality: hearty dishes such as Bründlbrot, Bründlteller and Bratl aus der Rein compete with lighter dishes such as smoked trout fillet, mozzarella strawberry salad and pure organic sheep's cheese with pumpkin seed vinaigrette. The wine selection of course includes Grüner Veltliner and Riesling, but also Chardonnay, Muskateller and a few reds, leaving nothing to be desired. And for those who already suspect that driving home afterwards is not a good idea: the rooms in the family-owned guesthouse "Lebensfreude" right next door are very cozy!
