In the eastern part of Dürnstein, surrounded by the typical stone terraces and vines of the Wachau, lies the Stockingerhof winery - a traditional family business where viticulture, hospitality and enjoyment are combined in a special way. In addition to their own wine production, the family also runs a Buschenschank (typical tavern), which offers guests and locals an authentic insight into the regional wine culture.

Wine tavern with a view and atmosphere

In the warmer months, the family's own wine tavern opens its doors regularly - in spring, summer or fall, depending on the season. Home-grown wines and regional cold dishes are served here in a cozy atmosphere: Spread breads, cheese platters, bacon, Wachau specialties and seasonal snacks - often with ingredients from our own production.

Guests can take a seat in the leafy courtyard, on the terrace with a view of the vineyards or in the rustic interior. The wine tavern is particularly appreciated for its relaxed atmosphere, the personal service provided by the host family and its location away from the hustle and bustle - but still within walking distance of the old town of Dürnstein.

Winery with tradition

The Stockingerhof cultivates its own vineyards around Dürnstein and Unterloiben. The focus is on classic Wachau grape varieties such as Grüne Veltliner, Riesling and Gelber Muskateller. The wines are carefully handcrafted and reflect the character of the stony soils and the Pannonian climate.

Visitors to the winery have the opportunity to taste and buy the wines directly on site. On request, the winegrowers also provide personal insights into the cultivation, the work in the cellar and the philosophy of the house. Wine lovers without an overnight stay are also very welcome at the wine tavern.
