The Böhmer winery is a traditional family business in the heart of Dürnstein, which has been dedicated to viticulture for two generations. With only four hectares of vineyards, the winery is one of the small but fine wine producers in the Wachau. The steep slopes of the vineyards require manual cultivation, which allows for intensive work in the vineyards at any time of the year. The focus is on quality rather than quantity, with an annual production of around 10,000 bottles of quality wine that meet the strict requirements of Vinea Wachau.

The range includes classic Wachau grape varieties such as Grüne Veltliner, Riesling, Muskateller, Sauvignon Blanc, Gelber Traminer and Neuburger, the latter of which is considered the house's hobbyhorse and is often offered in Smaragd quality. In addition to the dry wines, the winery also produces fine sweet wines and Auslese wines. Fine brandies, jams and liqueurs are also produced.

Visitors have the opportunity to taste the wines in the wine tavern directly at the winery. The wine tastings take place from spring onwards and are accompanied by a multilingual expert in German, English and French. For larger groups, tastings are also offered in the parish hall of Dürnstein Abbey.
