Since 2012, the over 100-year-old Wachau Railway has been running in a new design and with a new program. It runs from Krems to Emmersdorf at weekends and on public holidays, and daily in summer. The route runs along an impressive route in an elevated position and with the best views over the Wachau. Themed trains are in operation on certain dates. The train journey then includes culinary delights and expert tour guides.
New to the offer are "Boat & Train" combination tickets, for example for the outward journey by train and the return journey by boat - or vice versa.
