Just above Dürnstein, just a stone's throw away from the town's well-known landmark - the Dürnstein ruins - lies the Fesslhütte hut in a small clearing!
The Fesslhütte is a popular hiking destination in the Wachau with a feel-good factor, surrounded by a varied landscape, a colorful mixed forest and beautiful pines directly on the Welterbesteig Wachau - Wachau World Heritage Trail. The hut can be reached by car via Scheibenhof, by bike or on foot via one of the many hiking trails.
Guests are spoiled with a range of regional and seasonal delicacies. With great attention to detail, guests are treated to genuine delicacies and hearty home cooking. A glass of Wachau wine to go with it and if you like it sweet, round off your visit with a homemade pastry.
In the cooler months of the year, the Fesslhütte offers its guests space for 20 people in the small, rustic dining room and space for 50 people in the larger dining room. On warm days, the cozy guest garden for up to 70 people invites you to take a breather and linger.
