Rohrau Castle, built around 1524 by the Counts of Harrach, was given its current late Baroque appearance at the end of the 18th century. It is nestled in a wild and romantic landscape garden on the edge of the Leitha floodplains. Since 1970, the palace has housed the largest private collection of Spanish and Neapolitan painters of the 17th and 18th centuries, which has grown over 450 years. Magnificent furniture and rich decorative arts can also be admired. The Clarissa Hall and other beautiful rooms are available for special occasions and events.
