The Strombad Kritzendorf was once one of the first open-air baths in Austria and had its heyday especially in the interwar period! On individual weekends, up to 12,000 visitors from all social classes enjoyed the cool waters of the Danube, along the inviting Danube beach alongside the open-air pool.
Today, the spacious facility is no longer operated as an open-air pool, but the sunbathing lawn on the banks of the Danube is still freely accessible and is used by numerous guests.
