The small municipality of Hundsheim in the district of Bruck an der Leitha lies at the foot of the 480-metre-high Hundsheimer Berg, whose Pannonian flora and fauna characterize the landscape. The village was first mentioned in documents in the 12th century. Today, Hundsheim attracts visitors of all ages to discover adventurous, untouched nature and beautiful sights.

Flying & hiking in Hundsheim
In the warmer months of the year, gliders from the nearby Spitzerberg Aviation Center fly in the sky. The center is operated by "Flugplatz Völtendorf und Spitzerberg GmbH" and offers an airfield, gliding, motor and ultralight flying schools, a tennis court and a newly renovated hotel and restaurant. The marked hiking trails are ideal for hiking - especially for families with children. Popular excursion destinations include the Hundsheimer Berg nature trail - which is also known as the Hexenberg - and exciting caves such as the Güntherhöhle or the Zwergenloch.

Important listed buildings
The parish church of St. Trinity is particularly worth seeing in Hundsheim: a medieval building at its core, which was baroqueized in the 17th century. The Gothic choir dates back to around 1300. The historical remains of the walls and windows of the Romanesque St. Anne's Chapel are also well worth a visit. It was originally built before the middle of the 13th century.
