The thatched 18th century farmhouse, where Joseph Haydn was born on March 31, 1732 and his brother Michael on September 14, 1737, was carefully renovated in 2017 and shines with a contemporary and varied permanent exhibition dealing with the Haydn brothers' childhood, their careers as composers and the history of the house and the region. The picturesque courtyard with its arcade and a new concert hall provide an atmospheric setting for concerts and numerous other cultural events that focus on the musical work of Joseph and Michael Haydn.
