The 5-hectare vineyard in the Schildhütten district of Weißenkirchen has been owned by the Pomaßl family since 1937. The majority of the vineyards are located on steep stone-walled terraces typical of the Wachau, which can only be cultivated with laborious manual work. According to the strict guidelines of Vinea Wachau and integrated viticulture, excellent wines are produced from the Grüne Veltliner, Riesling, Chardonnay, Neuburger and Zweigelt varieties, which can be enjoyed together with a variety of snacks at the wine tavern (May and September) in the Stüberl or on the terrace.
There is a special extra right in front of the house: For thirsty hikers, non-alcoholic drinks and Wachau wine are hidden in the self-service bar!
