Manfred and Elisabeth Konrad run the family business with deep roots in viticulture and wine taverns. The Konrad family has been cultivating their vineyards for generations and combines traditional winegrowing methods with modern, nature-conscious methods. They attach great importance to nature-oriented vineyard care, planting their soils all year round, using pesticides that are beneficial to beneficial insects and gently cultivating the soils in order to obtain healthy and fully ripe grapes. The vines grow on different types of soil, such as clay and primary rock soils, often on slopes and terraces with good sun exposure, which promotes the ripeness and character of the grapes. Harvesting is mainly done by hand, only when a balanced ratio of acidity and sugar has been achieved. Gentle methods are used in the cellar, such as gentle pressing and cooled fermentation in stainless steel tanks.

The most important grape varieties are Grüne Veltliner and Riesling, which are typical of the Wachau. The range of wines is divided into the Wachau categories Steinfeder, Federspiel and Smaragd. Different vineyards such as Klostersatz, Frauenweingarten, Trum, Burgstall, Schütt, Loibenberg, Kreutles and Rothenhof allow for different styles and bring out the character of the terroir.

The wine tavern is open four times a year in the wine cellar lane and offers guests the opportunity to taste all wines by the glass. Cold dishes, Wachau specialties and freshly baked Wachauer Laberl are also available.
