Josef & Monika Eichelmann's family-run winery is located at Neuer Markt 3 in the historic center of Senftenberg - a small part-time winery that is certainly run with a great deal of dedication and love for tradition.
On around 1.5 hectares of vineyards, good wines are produced that reflect both the region and the winemaker's signature. The main varieties are Grüne Veltliner (around 50%) and Riesling vom Urgestein (approx. The vineyards are located in typical vineyards around Senftenberg - Hausberg, Arnsteig and Hochäcker - on soils of primary rock and clay, which give the wines structure and expression.
Josef Eichelmann invites guests to wine taverns at least three times a year. Here he serves down-to-earth, mostly home-made Heurigen fare - typical dishes that go perfectly with his own wines. The wine tavern offers the following homemade specialties, among others: Smoked meat, roast pork, lard, gammel, grammel strudel, liver pâté, red wine liqueur.
