Gruber's Heurigenwirt "Zum Ruinenblick" in Spitz an der Donau is an endearing wine tavern that offers one of those places in the middle of the vineyards that instantly make you feel at home and invite you to linger. The terrace offers a wonderful view of the Hinterhaus ruins and the Burgberg, the back of the famous Tausendeimerberg - a panorama that promises both enjoyment and tranquillity.
Helene & Wolfgang Rieder welcome guests with a menu full of Heurigen classics: snack platters such as Hauerjause or Weinbergjause, fresh spreads such as cream cheese platters or smoked specialties ("Leopolds Hausgeräuchertes"). If you would like a hot dish, you can order an oven-fresh roast or ribs in advance. Coffee, fresh pastries and ice cream are available for a sweet finish.
