On the way between Bratislava and Vienna, there is a place where everyone passing by stops at some point: the wine cellar lane in Prellenkirchen. Old wine cellars with wine taverns, at least one of which is always open.
The Prellenkirchen wine cellar lane is located in the Spitzerberg nature reserve, part of the Carnuntum winegrowing region. Large areas of rocky steppes, dry grassland and the dry Pannonian climate characterize this region. This type of nature offers ideal conditions for viticulture. It is worth combining a visit to the wine cellar lane with a tour of the wine museum or discovering the Pannonian fauna and flora on the hiking trails on the Spitzerberg.
