The municipality of Klein-Neusiedl in the district of Bruck an der Leitha is located south of Fischamend in Lower Austria's industrial district. In ancient times, the area was part of the Roman province of Pannonia. The village was first mentioned in a document in 1203 and today offers historical excursion destinations for young and old.

Klein-Neusiedl: great industrial history
In the late 18th century, a successful paper factory was founded in Klein-Neusiedl, which was in operation until the 1930s. After the Second World War, the premises were used for a cotton spinning mill. Today, parts of the late Baroque complex can still be visited behind the church square - such as the three-storey factory building, some workers' houses and the extensive, romantically overgrown park with fabulous stone sculptures. With its unique character, the Papierfabrik Varieté today offers a special setting for in-house variety productions, concerts, cabaret evenings, private and company celebrations and cultural events.

Sights of Klein-Neusiedl
In addition to the memories of the Klein-Neusiedl paper mill, there are other cultural sights in the municipality: The Pfister House, for example, is a three-sided courtyard with a core dating back to the 17th century. The venerable branch church - a baroque hall church dating from 1725 - is also worth a visit. In addition, several archaeologically valuable Lombard graves have been found in the fields between Kleinneusiedl and Fischamend. They prove the early settlement of the area.
