Weinhof & Heuriger Preis is a charming family business in the southern Krems Valley ("Kremstal" in German), in Tiefenfucha, which combines tradition, quality and enjoyment with great attention to detail. The Preis family cultivates around 2.5 hectares of vines (of which around 80% are white wine and 20% red wine) and around 0.8 hectares of fruit.
As soon as you enter, you realize that this is not about quantity, but about character. The grape varieties are perfectly suited to the soils and climate around the Göttweiger Berg: Grüne Veltliner and Riesling are the centerpieces, joined by varieties such as Gelber Muskateller, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, but also rosé and stronger red wines.
The wine tavern Preis offers a cozy atmosphere, warm and inviting. Guests are served homemade dishes to go with the wines. Hot and cold dishes are on offer, all with a focus on regional and handmade products. The restaurant is divided into several rooms and offers space for around 100 people; in summer, the inner courtyard invites guests to linger.
Tastings and wine sales are possible at any time by prior arrangement.
