Ahoy! Off to new (culinary) shores. At the Gasthaus zum Goldenen Schiff in Tulln, kitchen secrets are passed down from generation to generation. The first recipes date back to 1862 - many more have followed since then. Spiced up with new ideas, the recipe box has developed into a valuable asset. It has now reached Thomas Baumgartlinger, who is the fifth generation to run the inn. In this traditional establishment, the menu ranges from classic schnitzel to dishes with international flavors. These protagonists characterize the menu: the boiled beef with apple horseradish, chive sauce and potato pancakes; the pink roasted onion roast from the Beiried with roast potatoes as well as the elderflower parfait with seasonal fruits among the desserts. The wheel is not reinvented here, and that's a good thing.

The Gasthaus zum Goldenen Schiff focuses on the basic values of gastronomy. A high standard of quality is recognizable. The proximity to local suppliers is obvious. What is cooked is what the region around the Tullnerfeld has to offer. Seasoned with a pinch of hospitality. The family's personal touch is clearly evident. An inn in its purest form. With a wine list that is full to bursting and has a strong local connection. The selection of beers is no less lavish. The classic tavern cuisine is best enjoyed in the blossoming Schanigarten - a small foretaste of the Excursion destinations "DIE GARTEN TULLN", which is very close by.
