Martin and Alexandra Donabaum's idyllic 6-hectare Strawanzer winery is surrounded by vineyards in the historic center of Spitz. The quality and Prädikat wines, which are mainly produced in steep vineyards on the typical Wachau stone terraces, can be tasted in the new, modern Panorama Lounge or at the traditional Buschenschank (typical tavern) "Zum Strawanzer" - preferably on the shady panoramic terrace with a hearty snack: Organic cheese from sheep and goats, lardo bacon from Mangalitza pigs, raw ham from deer, lamb and other regional specialties.

If you feel like discovering the Wachau on your own, the Strawanzer winery has well-equipped comfortable rooms and the two spacious "Venus" and "Smaragd" gourmet suites.
