Egon Schiele was a pivotal artist in Austrian Modernism. In the “Egon Schiele - experience the artist up close” package, you explore many of the great Expressionist’s favorite haunts in the town where he grew up. His birthplace at the station master’s apartment at Tulln train station gives you authentic insights into Schiele’s childhood. Explore Schiele’s home town of Tulln and find out many interesting things about it and its most famous native son.

Keep your eyes open for motifs that once inspired Schiele and discover them again at the Egon Schiele Museum. The pieces displayed in rooms of the former jail on the Danube promenade in Tulln (Donaulände) give you an overview of the early work of Egon Schiele and the world of his childhood in fin de siècle Austria. 

Finally, you can spend many enjoyable hours in the over 70 demonstration and model gardens at GARTEN TULLN and learn useful facts you can subsequently apply in your own garden at home. Enjoy a wonderful view of this tranquil oasis from the treetop trail 30 m overhead.
