Our philosophy is our strength.
We see bread and baked goods not only as an important staple food but also as a luxury food, because every loaf has its own story and its own character. In addition to experience, it also takes love and feeling in dealing with dough as well as creativity and fun in trying things out - this is how our new bread and pastry creations are constantly created, which ensure tasty variety.

The traditions of the bakery trade show us the way.
The return to the roots of traditional baking culture forms the basis of our work. Careful dough preparation with our own natural sourdoughs plays a central role. Time is the most important ingredient. We give our doughs the rest they need and take our own time for craftsmanship, for our products, for our customers, for our passion. With this in mind, we also use old grains and spices that have been forgotten in some places, such as emmer, forest rye, bread clover and galangal.

We are a family business.
We have been running our small bakery in the 4th generation since 1932. The special relationship between father Karl and son Jakob is very important for the working atmosphere. As a tried and tested father and son team, we always agree on values and in many other matters we see each other as the perfect complement. In our family-run company, everyone helps together and everyone has their own special role. Our small team of employees forms the heart of our business, as each individual is indispensable to us.

Regionality is very important to us.
Under the credo "from the region for the region", we always strive to source our raw materials directly from our "nearest neighbors". In this way, we not only want to develop a sense of solidarity, but also show how wonderful our region is in all its facets - not just culinary ones.

Our handiwork is genuine.
We have banned all ready-made baking mixes and chemical additives from our bakery. We source high-quality raw materials, which we process into our breads and pastries using partly traditional and partly self-created recipes. We use machines as little as possible and only as much as necessary. We shape, braid and wrap every single loaf of bread, poppy seed pastry, salt sticks, etc. by hand.

We are careful with our resources.
That is why we choose the raw materials we use very carefully. We pay attention to origin, quality, seasonality, processing, nutrients and the effect on the body. High-quality bread and baked goods are created by using high-quality ingredients. Our products are valuable, which is why we make every effort to utilize everything and not throw anything away. We try to make a contribution to sustainability by carefully selecting our ingredients, practicing tradition and genuine craftsmanship, appreciating food and consciously reducing waste.
