Urbanushof - Weingut Paul Stierschneider in Oberloiben is a family-run winery with a long tradition dating back to 1696. The Stierschneider family cultivates their vineyards around Loiben with great dedication and attaches great importance to bringing out the fruit, freshness and character of each vintage.
The wine tavern at Urbanushof opens twice a year. Guests can then indulge in the house wines, enjoy homemade bread and hearty snacks in a cozy atmosphere. Vegetarian and vegan dishes are also on offer. The wine is not only served indoors, but also in the garden, courtyard and a tasting room above the wine cellar. The view of the Dürnstein ruins completes the experience.
The style of the wine tavern and vinotheque reflects the philosophy of the winery: very careful, close to nature and quality-oriented. In the cellar, the emphasis is on "controlled idleness", i.e. interventions are sparing and only necessary to preserve the quality and terroir.
The winery also offers overnight accommodation in vacation apartments directly on the farm.
