Weingut Schneeweiß

The Schneeweiß winery is a third-generation family business in the Wachau and cultivates around 5 hectares of vineyards.

The majority is located on the steep terraces in Weißenkirchen, where the grapes catch a lot of sun and warmth. Together with the regulating micro-climate of the Danube, the best of all wines grow here. Primary rock and weathered primary rock soils form the basis for Wachau wine quality. The top sites "Steinriegl" and "Achleiten" are well-known.

Cellar master and owner Anton Schneeweiß brings the quality from the vine to the finished bottle. The grapes are harvested by hand and only the best are processed further.

The white wine grape varieties Grüne Veltliner, Riesling, Gelber Muskateller, Chardonnay, Neuburger and Sauvignon Blanc are cultivated in the Steinfeder®, Federspiel® and Smaragd® quality levels protected by the "Vinea Wachau Nobilis Districtus e.V" association. The red wine varieties are Zweigelt and Roesler.
